Considered a healthcare industry technology leader, Kindred’s Information Systems department includes approximately 350 professionals in one centralized location. At our corporate data center in Louisville, Kentucky, we house 1,300 servers connected by a robust frame relay network to 16,000 workstations in over 300 facilities in 40 states. Our state-of-the-art Microsoft architecture is centrally managed by a customized, best-of-breed Enterprise Management System. With this centralized architecture and a set of standardized business applications, Kindred can easily leverage its investment in technology as it aggressively grows the business.
Kindred’s I/S department supports over 4,000 software applications, including our integrated financial, HR and payroll system and business intelligence data warehouse (SAP). Our top priority is that all data, from financial processing to clinical reports, be available in an online format that our team can securely distribute, view and print from anywhere in our enterprise via our Knect Intranet.
